What a change!!

Over Christmas break I re-did my fireplace with stone and since it was a lighter color I also changed the color of my bookcases and added doors. I think it turned out pretty good for doing it all myself.

Re-Decorating

I have been working on my house for awhile, changing out hardware and re-hanging curtains and blinds. I glazed my kitchen cabinets and still have a long list of things I am going to do. Here is a picture of my curtains that I re-did over the weekend. I had seen curtains hung like this at the parade of homes a year ago and have wanted to do it so I went and bought my hooks and me and Casey got to work Saturday morning. I have pictures of all my other projects that I will post soon.

Busy Busy

I really need to get better about updating this blog. Well we are heading into a very busy next couple of months. Today is Michaels 26th Birthday, the 29th we will celebrate my nephews first birthday. I have lots to do for Keightons 2nd birthday and I am getting everything ready to go back to school. They only accept 15 this year so I really have to get my stuff together and pass the test. I am also beginning to get stuff ready for Casey's Graduation from Tech. She has been such an inspiration to me and I am so proud of her. She will finish with her bachelors degree and will be able to apply next year to Physical Therapy school. She is such a smart girl. I cant believe how fast time is going by. We have lived in our house almost 7 months, which has been so nice. Michael has been out of the Army 2 years and it seems like just yesterday he started the long drive home. I cant believe my little girl will be 2 in March. I look at all that has happened to me over the past couple of years and feel completely blessed to be where I am at.
Hopefully I will get better about posting

From house to home

Well I have been working for almost a month on the house. I did most of the decorating in the first 2 weeks and these last two weeks I have been doing little things to get everything done. I still have some boxes in the dining room and the garage. I am replacing the light fixture in the dining room and just havent had the energy to do it so its still in a box. They dont let you pick fixtures and that kind of stuff so lots will be changed out. I just have to wait and do a little at a time. I have been pretty pleased with the way things turned out on the house. I think I did good selecting things for the house considering I picked everything on my lunch hour.

2 weeks

Well we are 2 weeks away from closing on the house and we are excited. I have been trying to get everything together but I havent packed much since I have no where to store the boxes I pack. I am ready to get moved in and not have to drive everyday. I have been having to take Keighton clear across town to daycare, but once we move it will be super close. We have really enjoyed the new babysitter, but I know that Keighton misses Kimber a lot. My mom takes her to watch her sons play baseball so Keighton can see them. We really didnt want to move Keighton, but it just wasnt possible to keep her in Levelland. I am so blessed that Whitney told me about Kimber and they had an opening at the time I needed them. We are going to miss them, but Keighton has made new friends and hopefully she will be able to stay at this one till we get her in school. Wow it sounds like so far away, but time is flying and it will be here before we can turn around twice. Keighton is going through terrible twos at 14 months and boy do we have a time with her. She is fearless and will do anything. She has been so much fun though. Her smile and laugh just melts my heart. I love when she hugs me super tight and gives me kisses, even though they are super wet kisses. Michael is going to school for his EMT certification and he has been doing really good on everything and he is fixing to start rotations. He is upset because he has to deliver a baby and he said he has already done that when Keighton was born. I have been doing to same stuff like always. I still work for the school, but this will probably be my last year at the school. I am planning on going back to school for another degree and I cant wait.
